Welcome to the College Bound Southern Showcase!
We are a premier Gymnastics college recruiting camp that is open to all levels and ages. Our mission is to provide athletes with multiple opportunities throughout the year to present their skills and navigate the recruiting process effectively.
While traditional showcases are a great starting point, our inclusion of personalized coaching creates a more comprehensive and impactful experience.
In addition to exceptional coaching, we offer valuable extras. With over 20 years of experience in the recruiting process, we provide access to insider tips and proven strategies that have helped our athletes get recruited by colleges across the country. The relationships we have created with all the universities plays a huge role in the direction of this amazing camp.
Our summer camps are designed to get you geared up with new skills and progressions and jumpstart your recruiting process. Expect a large number of college coaches along with various club coaches who will provide diverse perspectives and hands on training. You will also benefit from sessions with experts in mental toughness, physical therapy, and nutrition to round out your preparation. Those of you who are in the direct middle of the recruiting process, will definitely benefit as many schools on your lists will most likely be In attendance.
At our event, you won’t just showcase your gymnastics talent—you’ll also receive hands-on coaching from college coaches. This unique approach not only highlights your abilities but also offers invaluable insights directly from the very coaches who may influence your college future. Along with all this, comes other opportunities that will make your weekend more worth while by giving you more in depth opportunities to learn and grow.
Extras That Elevate the Experience:
Bar Technical Clinic:
In addition to high-level training throughout camp, athletes will have the opportunity to participate in a specialized Bars Technique & Skills Clinic. This clinic is led by high-level club clinicians who bring extensive experience and a fresh perspective to bars training. The focus is on breaking down skills, refining technique, and addressing the small details that make a big difference in performance and consistency.
Gymnasts will receive targeted instruction on the skills they are currently working, with an emphasis on understanding how and why certain techniques work. By approaching skills from multiple angles, athletes often unlock progress in areas where they may have felt stuck. Exposure to different coaching styles and teaching methods allows gymnasts to better connect with their training and apply corrections more effectively.
This clinic is designed to complement regular camp training by providing individualized feedback, innovative drills, and proven progressions. The added perspective from experienced clinicians helps athletes gain confidence, improve efficiency on bars, and walk away with tools they can continue using long after camp ends. It’s an invaluable experience for any gymnast looking to grow, learn, and take ownership of their development.
Vault Clinic: Power, Precision, and Confidence
Athletes will also have the option to participate in a specialized Vault Clinic add-on, designed to enhance technique, power, and consistency. Led by high-level club clinicians, this clinic provides focused instruction on the key phases of vault—approach, hurdle, block, and landing—helping gymnasts better understand how each element contributes to a successful vault.
Participants will receive individualized feedback tailored to their current vault and progression level. By breaking down each phase and addressing common technical challenges, athletes gain greater clarity on how to generate power, improve body positions, and execute cleaner, more confident vaults. The clinic emphasizes safe, effective progressions and drills that translate directly into improved performance.
This optional clinic offers gymnasts the opportunity to benefit from a different coaching perspective, often leading to technical breakthroughs and increased confidence. Athletes leave with practical tools and concepts they can take back to their home gym, making the Vault Clinic a valuable add-on for those looking to further elevate their training experience.
Rehab & Physical Therapy Clinic: Training Smart for Longevity
Athletes and families will also have the option to participate in a Rehab & Physical Therapy Clinic add-on, designed to support healthy, sustainable training. This clinic focuses on injury prevention, recovery, and body awareness—key components for gymnasts navigating high-level training and the demands of the college recruiting journey.
The clinic includes a dedicated athlete seminar, led by the gymnastics PT, one of the sport’s most qualified physical therapists. She has strong ties to USA Gymnastics and works closely with their lead physicians. The gymnastics PT is board-certified with a Sports Clinical Specialty, bringing an exceptional level of expertise to athlete education. Gymnasts will learn practical strategies for maintaining their bodies, including effective warm-up and recovery techniques, mobility, strength balance, and how to recognize early signs of overuse or injury.
In addition, a parent seminar will be offered to provide education and clarity around common gymnastics injuries, recovery expectations, and how to best support their athlete through training, setbacks, and long-term development. This session empowers parents with knowledge while reinforcing the importance of smart training habits and athlete well-being. Together, these sessions make the Rehab & Physical Therapy Clinic a valuable add-on for families focused on both performance and longevity in the sport.
NCAA Athlete Experience: Insight From Those Living the Dream
This year, our summer clinics will offer something truly special. In addition to hosting NCAA college coaches, we are bringing current NCAA gymnasts into the coaching and mentoring environment—giving campers a rare, firsthand look at collegiate gymnastics from the athlete perspective.
These NCAA gymnasts represent a variety of universities and programs, allowing campers to hear diverse experiences and pathways within college gymnastics. Through on-floor interaction and structured conversations, athletes will gain valuable insight into daily training, competition schedules, team culture, academic balance, and what campus life is really like as a collegiate gymnast.
Campers will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect, and learn directly from athletes who are actively living the college gymnastics experience. This unique access helps demystify the recruiting process and allows gymnasts to envision themselves at the next level. It’s an engaging, inspiring add-on that brings college gymnastics to life and gives campers a perspective they simply can’t get anywhere else.
The Recruiting Playbook: A Roadmap for the College Journey
Last but not least, this year athletes will have the opportunity to walk away with what we call The Recruiting Playbook—a comprehensive guide designed to support gymnasts through every stage of the college recruiting process. Built from years of recruiting experience and insight gathered from college coaches, NCAA athletes, and industry professionals, this playbook brings clarity to what can often feel like an overwhelming journey.
The Recruiting Playbook covers all aspects of the recruiting process, including timelines, communication strategies, understanding divisions and program differences, creating recruiting materials, and knowing what college coaches are truly looking for. It serves as both an educational resource and a practical reference that athletes and families can return to again and again as recruiting evolves.
More than just information, the playbook empowers athletes to take ownership of their recruiting journey. By combining real-world perspectives with actionable guidance, it helps gymnasts make informed decisions, ask the right questions, and confidently navigate the path toward finding the right collegiate fit—academically, athletically, and personally.
